Wonka is a 2023 musical fantasy film. It tells the origin story of Willy Wonka, a character in the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, depicting his early days as a chocolatier. It introduces a fun, young, and free-spirited Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) as he tries to start his first shop, only to experience setbacks that lead to him teaming up with a ragtag group of friends.
